Dr Claire graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2013, and since then has been enjoying practicing in the fields of emergency medicine and surgery, and hospital management. Prior to graduation as a vet, she had been a veterinary nurse for 13 years, totalling over 20 years in the veterinary industry.

In order to work with the wonderful team at Blue Mountains Animal Health, Dr Claire divides her time between her home in country South Australia, and the beautiful village of Leura.

When home, she loves spending time with her two greyhounds, pet goat, four kitties, and many poultry.

She is currently expecting her first child, a little girl.

Robyn Jenkins VN - Senior Veterinary Nurse

From an early age Robyn knew that she wanted to work with animals, particularly in the veterinary field. At her first opportunity she left school to study Veterinary Nursing and secured her first job in the Blue Mountains. Wanting to expand her knowledge and experience, she moved to Narromine to work with farm animals and in particular with horses. On returning to the Mountains she spent some time working with a Veterinarian whose special interest was wildlife and reptile medicine. This was an exciting new field and allowed Robyn to become involved in the collection of data for several research projects.

Eventually though, it was her love of dogs and their behaviour that led to her to becoming a qualified Dog Trainer, allowing her to work in various dog and cat shelters as a Rehabilitation Officer, helping dogs adjust to their new lives in a loving home.

Now with over 30 years experience as a Veterinary Nurse and working at Blue Mountains Animal Health, Robyn has embraced this new opportunity for her to share her vast experience, and learn new skills.

Robyn currently lives in the Blue Mountains with her kelpie Scabbers, cat Lena, and lizard Skittles, who are all rescues!

Dr Mark Frost BVSc - Veterinarian

Mark graduated from the University of Bristol and practised as a Veterinarian for over 10 years in the UK. In 2011, Mark and his wife Jennie visited Australia where he worked as a locum Veterinary Surgeon at a number of practices in Sydney. On returning to the UK, he worked for a practice in the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, became a partner and director at a practice in Taunton and worked in a large vet hospital in North Somerset.

However, Mark and Jennie could not get Australia out of their minds, so decided to start the process of Visa applications and organising to move half way around the world. Having visited the Blue Mountains previously and having spent a lot of time here, they had fallen in love with our landscape and lifestyle.

Mark has a particular interest in small animal dental health and dental radiography. Outside of his professional life, Mark has a keen interest in bushwalking & landscape/wildlife photography – what better place to be than the Blue Mountains!
